JoeDan Aerial Enterprises provides specialized drone-based herbicide, fertilizer, seeding, and invasive species control services for private landowners, agricultural producers, and agencies.
Drone-based aerial application delivers precision treatment where ground equipment cannot go, with less soil disturbance, less drift risk, and better coverage on difficult terrain and sensitive landscapes.
Every service is conducted under FAA regulations and best management practices for aerial application, tailored to project-specific site conditions and landowner goals.
Targeted aerial spraying for invasive and noxious weeds using precision drone platforms designed to minimize off-target impacts. Effective for cheatgrass, knapweed, houndstongue, leafy spurge, and other rangeland invaders.
Efficient aerial treatment of cropland where traditional ground equipment is limited by terrain, crop stage, or field access. Consistent coverage without soil compaction or crop damage from equipment traffic.
Even distribution of granular products across difficult or sensitive landscapes using the RevoCast system. Adjustable application rates across irregular terrain with far less soil disturbance than mechanical spreaders.
Broadcast seeding for restoration, reclamation, and difficult-to-access areas. Effective for post-treatment revegetation, rangeland restoration, and erosion control projects on steep, remote, or sensitive terrain.
XAG V40 precision drone application on Montana rangeland and cropland.
Pumpkin Insecticide — Spraying pumpkin crop field with organic insecticides and fertilizers.
Field Spraying — Broadcast spraying selective herbicide for knapweed in fields.
A purpose-built aerial application platform engineered for precision chemical application, granular spreading, and repeatable accuracy under FAA Part 137 agricultural aircraft operations.
All operations are conducted with a focus on safety, precision, and regulatory compliance. Services are tailored to project-specific needs whether working with private landowners, agricultural producers, or public agencies.
Site evaluation, weather and drift risk assessment, flight path planning, and label-compliant application parameter review completed before every mission.
All operations conducted under FAA Part 137 agricultural aircraft exemption and Part 107 small UAS rules. Montana Certified Applicator. Full documentation maintained for every project.
No soil compaction or crop damage. Access to steep, wet, or remote areas inaccessible to ground equipment. Targeted treatment rather than full-field broadcast for sensitive landscapes.
Direct coordination with landowners and agency partners throughout each project. Application documentation provided as required by project scope or regulatory requirements.
JoeDan Aerial Enterprises integrates drone technology with applied field knowledge to deliver targeted solutions for agriculture, invasive species control, and land restoration.
Dan Morina serves as Pilot in Command for JoeDan Aerial Enterprises and is responsible for the safe and compliant execution of all aerial operations. He has operated small drones under Part 107 since 2016 and large agricultural drones under Part 137 exemption since 2023.
As PIC, Dan oversees mission planning, aircraft performance, application parameters, and coordination with landowners and agency partners to ensure effective and responsible project outcomes tailored to site-specific objectives and constraints.
Dan also holds a Ph.D. in Fish and Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana and is the founder of Resource Management Specialists, LLC. His applied field background in rangeland ecology, invasive species management, and habitat planning informs how JoeDan Aerial approaches every project: with a genuine understanding of the land and the outcomes the work is meant to achieve.
"Precision application means treating what needs to be treated, protecting what doesn't, and doing it in a way the land can recover from."Dan Morina, JoeDan Aerial Enterprises
